Bhakti Ki Adharshila
It is universally accepted that God dwells in the heart of every living being. It is therefore logical to assert that we should not hurt the feelings of another, either through our words or our behaviour, for our sweet Lord resides within that person too.
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, who is the veritable ocean of graciousness, advises aspirants to keep this very important point in mind. In fact he says that there is no greater sin than hurting the feelings of another.
It was Gauranga Mahaprabhu who wrote over 500 years ago that aspirants on the path of devotion should first learn about and then develop the qualities of humbleness, forbearance, patience and politeness. Today, these very same words are being echoed by Shri Maharajji.
This practical book is a compilation of excerpts from several discourses Shri Maharajji has given along these lines. By adhering to the guidelines described, overtime an aspirant will be able to imbibe these qualities as he moves forward on his spiritual journey. This knowledge, when reinforced and strengthen regularly through practical devotion, becomes the very foundation from where one can genuinely advance quickly towards the ultimate goal of God-realisation.
