Prarthana – The Prayer Book contains the daily prayers, including those written by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, that are sung every morning and evening in the spiritual centres of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat. Each prayer is presented in Hindi with the English transliteration and meaning directly under each line, intended to make it easier for non-Hindi readers to follow and understand the sentiments being expressed. Each obeisance is a complete work within itself and encapsulates the true meaning of spirituality. Collectively, they act as a reminder to the spiritual aspirant of the gratitude and humbleness he should feel towards his Guru, worshipable Deity and the sacred abodes. Sung joyfully with loving meditation, each bhakti song is an integral part of an aspirant’s devotional life.
On auspicious occasions in India such as Janmashtami, Radhashtami and Ram Navami there are other aarti’s performed to Shri Krishna, Shri Radha and Lord Ram and so these have also been included. A rarity in this publication is the inclusion of Kripaluji’s own guidelines for practicing bhakti correctly, a priceless guide to be followed routinely if you desire to give your devotion meaning and reap the full benefit of meditation.
