They aspire to do their best yet be detached from the fruits of their actions. Karma is also refers to the philosophy of cause and effect, the chain of good or bad, that results from action or inaction. The practice of karma yoga is a means to break the chain of cause and effect in our lives and rise above it. To practice karma yoga means working on extinguishing our ego which is the greatest impediment to our spiritual progress and is the fuel that feeds that chain reaction of karma in our lives.
