The Spirit of Diwali

After fourteen years of exile, Shree Ram returned to Ayodhya with Sita Ma. The people lit row upon row of lamps to welcome them home, and a moonless night became a celebration of light.

Diwali keeps that homecoming alive. Every diya we light is an offering of love, a prayer that devotion may brighten our hearts, and an invitation to celebrate together as one temple family.

What is Diwali Mahotsav at Radha Krishna Temple?

Our celebration of the Festival of Lights, with traditional poojas, cultural programs, 11,111 diya lighting, fireworks and community festivities. It's a blend of spirituality, culture and celebration that brings together families from all backgrounds.

Do I need to register to attend?

Attendance is free and open to all. Registering is recommended: it helps us plan for the community and sends you updates about the celebration.

How can I take part in the 11,111 Diya Lighting?

Sponsor diyas on this page, and they will be lit during the ceremony with your name or intention. You can also light diyas in person during the ceremony.

What should I wear?

Traditional Indian attire is encouraged but not required. Please dress modestly and comfortably, as you'll be taking part in poojas and cultural activities.

Is parking available at the temple?

Yes, free parking is available on the temple grounds, with overflow parking arrangements on busy days.

Can children take part in the activities?

Yes. There are children's workshops, arts and crafts, games and cultural performances designed for kids.

How can I volunteer or contribute?

We welcome volunteers for decoration, food preparation, event coordination, children's activities and cleanup. You can also sponsor a seva on this page.

Will food be available?

Yes. There is a food festival with authentic Indian delicacies and traditional vegetarian meals, and vendor booths with more options.

Are fireworks allowed?

City-approved sparklers are available at the temple. For everyone’s safety, no outside fireworks are allowed on the temple grounds.
