Join us for a divine and heartfelt celebration of Guru Purnima, a sacred occasion to offer our gratitude and reverence to the spiritual masters who illuminate our path.

This special celebration will be graced by Swami Mukundananda ji, a global spiritual teacher and founder of JKYog, as we collectively honor the divine grace of Jagadguru Shri Kripaluji Maharaj – the 5th original Jagadguru in Indian history and the eternal ocean of divine love.

What is Guru Purnima and why do we celebrate it?

Guru Purnima is a sacred day dedicated to honoring our spiritual master and the guru lineage that guides us on the path of devotion and self-realization. Observed on the full-moon day of the Hindu month of Ashadha, it is a time to express gratitude for the divine knowledge we receive and to renew our commitment to spiritual practice. At Radha Krishna Temple of Dallas, we mark the occasion with kirtan, meditation, and reflection in the association of fellow devotees.

How can I attend Guru Purnima Celebration Radha Krishna Temple of Dallas?

Devotees are welcome to attend both Guru Purnima celebrations in person at Radha Krishna Temple of Dallas, 1450 North Watters Road, Allen, TX. The celebrations will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026 (10:30 AM–1:00 PM CST) and Wednesday, July 29, 2026 (7:00–9:00 AM CST). The Sunday celebration will also be broadcast live.

Do I need to register in advance, and is there a fee to attend?

The event is open to all devotees and guests. We encourage you to register in advance so we can plan seating and prasad accordingly — you can register directly on this page. There is no fee to attend;

Can I bring my family and children, and what can I expect during the program?

Guru Purnima is a family celebration, and children of all ages are warmly welcome. The program includes devotional kirtan, guided meditation, a discourse on the significance of the guru, and the distribution of blessed prasad. We recommend arriving a few minutes early to settle in before the program begins.
